Thanksgiving 2008

This past Thanksgiving we had lots of family come down from Virginia to join us for 2 days of fun and feasting. Here are Isaac, Lili, and Anna horsing around. Isaac had such a great time playing with them. The first night he didn't go to sleep until midnight and then the next day he completely skipped his nap!
Anna is the oldest cousin. She loves holding all the new babies that are being born into the family-which is turning out to be a new one just about every year!
Here's the turkey I made--a 20 pounder!
Walter making good use of his surgical training...
And here we all are ready to dig into the goodies. One the menu: turkey, apple and sausage stuffing, buttermilk mashed potatoes, corn pudding, sweet potato casserole, green beans, shrimp, and for dessert apple and pumpkin pies. Did I forget something? Everything was delicious. Thanks to everyone for contributing!Walter and I are so thankful to God this year for all that He has provided: loving family, a new job for Walter, a new home in North Carolina, selling our TWO homes in Cleveland, a new baby, new friends, good health, hot showers, food on the table...and the list goes on and on. But we're especially thankful for God's love and grace to us, and we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ this upcoming Christmas!
